Mount Kilimanjaro is the world's tallest free-standing mountain and climbing it is a challenge of a lifetime.

The views from the top of Kilimanjaro – a staggering height of 5,895m - are truly magnificent. On a clear day, you can even see as far as the plains of the Masai Mara.

Kilimanjaro has much more to offer than just awe inspiring views, as you will trek through five different eco-systems. Your expedition to the roof of Africa is the equivalent of travelling on a trip from the Equator to the Arctic as the landscape varies from bushland to tropical forest, from moorland to heath, and alpine desert.

The Rongai route starts just south of the Kenya-Tanzania border and has been mostly unused for many years. Now open for climbing once again, experienced guides consider this ascent route to be both more manageable and more beautiful than the main Marangu trail.
